A Letter From Hustleburg

I know I went all MIA on my blog for the past month and truly I am sorry for that. I left my job in January as most of the followers of this blog will know, to become a ‘stay-at-home writer’. After a few days of that though, I got a call that was inviting me on a television show to talk about my blogging experience. And even though I couldn’t make it to the live recording of that show, that invite still led me to a job application. And that job application led me to a job interview. And that job interview led me to two weeks of boot-camp at an advertising agency that’s offered me a year’s worth learnership of being a Copywriter Recruit.

It’s been such an incredibly fun and challenging month that forced me to move 12 hours away from home to the city of Gold (Johannesburg). I was so anxious the day I left and a part of me still is. Everything that could have possibly gone wrong, has gone wrong. At one point, I just took a minute and really introspected if I really am at the right place making the right decisions, or am I just forcing things that are not meant to be. Honestly I still don’t know but I am here and that is the reason my blog has been abandoned for a little while and why my #29LettersOfGratitude had to come to such an abrupt end.

I still managed to write a bit outside the blog. I was a guest post on two blogs and featured on a Business Leadership page on Facebook. I will share all the links as the week progresses but for now it is still safe to say; I am back y’all!

I feel like the blog has gone through such a wonderful rebirth because so much in my life has changed in such a short space of time. I look forward to sharing all those new experiences with you. I really missed all our interactions in the comments section and I hope great things have been happening over at your spaces. Please share links to all your latest blog posts because I certainly missed them ♡

  5. Nice… This sounds exciting…. Something about stopping to dream and actually DOING what your dreams are made of.

Many of us are stuck at dreaming stuff as opposed to doing stuff cause we’re afraid. Afraid of failure, afraid to be judged, afraid of the unknown. I say, take it all in. Enjoy the ride to where ever God is taking you. Learn as much as you can. You have the opportunity to do what you love and get paid for it…

Eiii, I’ve talked too much… For some reason, I’m excited for this new journey of yours. Something about hearing people pursue what they love gets me excited.

I laughed so hard at Hustleburg..
