One of the reasons I started blogging was because I was tired of hounding my friends with essays and essays of my untamed thoughts at unfair hours of the morning. I needed an outlet, one that would neither sleep nor slumber, documenting all the ways I expose and confront my truth.

I wanted my blog to be a quiet place that I’d entrust with the most intricate parts of me for safe keeping. So as I do with most things in my life, I didn’t give this decision too much thought … I woke up one day, and before I knew it, I was confirming a new account I’d set up on WordPress.

A few days later, my first blog post was published…

It’s been quite an incredible journey of self-discovery. This blog has become a portfolio and my most favoritest thing about myself. Sometimes I come online and just stare at it with the greatest pride. Blogging has given me so much and I’m grateful for my random unplanned start because it’s birthed and rewarded me with more than just a career but what I truly believe to be my life purpose.

  2. I think that everything said made a bunch of sense. However,
    what about this? suppose you typed a catchier title?
    I ain’t saying your content isn’t good, but what if you added a post title that makes people want more?
    I mean Sinawo Bukani is kinda plain. You ought to peek at
    Yahoo’s front page and see how they create article headlines to get viewers to open the links.
    You might add a video or a pic or two to grab people interested about everything’ve got to
    say. In my opinion, it could bring your posts a little livelier.

  10. Today, I went to the beach with my children. I found a sea shell and gave it to my
    4 year old daughter and said “You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear.” She put the shell to her ear and
    screamed. There was a hermit crab inside and it pinched her ear.
    She never wants to go back! LoL I know this is entirely off topic but I had to tell someone!

    similar one and i was just curious if you get a lot of spam comments?

    If so how do you reduce it, any plugin or anything you can suggest?
    I get so much lately it’s driving me insane so any help is very much appreciated.

  30. When I initially commented I clicked the “Notify me when new comments are added” checkbox and now
    each time a comment is added I get several e-mails
    with the same comment. Is there any way you can remove me from that service?

  31. Have you ever considered about including a little bit more than just your articles?
    I mean, what you say is fundamental and everything. But imagine
    if you added some great pictures or video clips to give your posts more, “pop”!
    Your content is excellent but with images and clips, this website could definitely
    be one of the most beneficial in its field. Great blog!

    • Hello 🙂

      I used one of the WordPress themes, it’s called the Baloons Theme. I chose it because it links with my website theme and I advised to do it that way so it has a consistent flow.

      Otherwise besides the theme, i had to choose the background colour and I opted for pink. And I added the widgets myself.

      Please do start 🙂 and send me the link to check it out. I taught myself everything about blogging, I’m still learning so you don’t have to be a fubdi before you start, my only advice is that you do in fact START!!!

  48. I hardly comment, but i did some searching and wound up here Sinawo Bukani.
    And I do have a couple of questions for you if you usually do not mind.
    Is it simply me or does it appear like a few of these
    comments come across as if they are written by brain dead visitors?
    😛 And, if you are writing at other places, I would like to follow anything new you have to post.
    Would you list of all of your public pages like your linkedin profile,
    Facebook page or twitter feed?
